Community Education Program Update July 22, 2020 As a district, the question on everyone’s mind, staff, families, and students alike, is what will school look like when we return this fall. While school districts around the state await a decision by Governor Walz – expected the week of July 27 – Eastern Carver County Schools staff have been busy working on plans for three possible learning models: in-person, distance, or a hybrid combination of the two. Summer 2020 Camps/Class Update

A message to our Summer 2020 Community Education participants–youth and adult camps and classes: As Summer quickly approaches, we wanted to connect and let you know that Community Education is still planning to offer Summer 2020 classes and activities!  We are following guidelines from the State of Minnesota and CDC to ensure that we can offer safe learning opportunities for you and your family. We are working with our instructors to ensure that our camps and classes include important new health and safety procedures including the following: Smaller class sizes or classes held in larger spaces Encouraging and reinforcing social distancing Utilizing individual supplies; reducing the need for shared supplies Increased cleaning of classroom spaces before and after each class As we learn more about exactly what each class or camp looks like, we will keep you informed.  Thank you for choosing to share part of your summer with Community Education! ECCS Robotics Team advances to World Competition

PrintFebruary 14, 2020  Eastern Carver County Schools Robotics Team Makes it to State for the 2nd Year and advances to World Competition St. PAUL, MN – The top 48 of 205 Minnesota High Tech Kids FIRST Tech Challenge robotics teams competed on February 7-8 in the Minnesota High Tech Kids FIRST Tech Challenge Stratasys State Championship held at Washington Technology Magnet School. Nine of those teams now have the opportunity to participate in the FIRST Tech Challenge World Championship, to be held April 29-May 2, 2020 at the TCF Center in Detroit, Michigan. “Wrench Dressing”, Minnesota FTC Team #9415 represented Eastern Carver County Schools at the state tournament, and is one of the 9 Minnesota teams advancing to the World Championship. “Wrench Dressing” is excited to represent our community at the World Championship, but FTC is about more than just success on the competition field, “What I love about this program is that it teaches us gracious professionalism not only with our own team,... read more

The StormHawks Preschool Open House scheduled tonight, 1/23/20 is canceled. The FLC has a water main break. The building is closing at 4 to allow for repairs.
