Ages 8-14

Does your child want to be an archer who can split an arrow like Robin Hood?  Then this camp is their place to learn about archery and practice their skills!  Through fun games and experiential learning, participants will learn range safety and proper techniques for stance, aim, and release to improve their shot.  Campers will get the opportunity to shoot both compound and recurve bows at various target styles.

Campers should come prepared for the weather conditions and should pack a backpack with snacks, reusable water bottle, sunscreen, hat or sun glasses, snack, and close-toed shoes. All other necessary equipment will be provided.  Meet at shelter #4. This camp will be held outdoors at Lake Minnewashta Park and is a partnership between Carver County Parks.
