Learn the basics of music technology through live Google Meet sessions on Tuesdays from 12-12:50 p.m. June 16-July 14 and be on your way to becoming a songwriter, producer, and/or DJ. Lessons include learning how to record and produce music on a digital audio workstation, how to write music using a notation program, basic DJ techniques, and the music theory that goes behind creating great music on these platforms. We will primarily be using Soundtrap and Noteflight which are Google web-based programs that can be operated on a PC or Mac. We will also explore other web-based applications and websites that can be used at home and refer to other common programs such as Garage Band, Logic, Ableton and Serato.Google meet sessions will be recorded so you can watch them at your convenience if you miss any or want to review the lessons.
