Using the magic of web-based digital audio workstation applications and video editing software, we will learn and produce 2-3 songs and music videos for these songs. The songs will be classic rock or country songs that the students will help pick out. Through live Google Meet sessions on Wednesdays from 12-1:20 p.m. or 1:30-2:50 p.m. (instructors will assign which session students are in; feel free in notes below to indicate if only one option works) June 17-July 15, students will receive online lessons to help them learn their parts. Students will be expected to practice and record their parts at home using SoundTrap which is a free web-based audio workstation where students can collaborate. Students will also film their performances or come up with other creative video ideas and submit them which will result in a music video for their song. We are looking for vocalists, guitarists, pianists, bass players, drummers, sax/trumpet/trombone players and violinists with at least one year experience on their instrument. Google Meet sessions will also be recorded so you can watch them at your convenience if you miss any or want to review the lessons. June 2020 graduates also welcome!
