Summer ART CAMP @ Clover Ridge Elementary

Summer ART CAMP is a great time to dive into your passion of painting, drawing, sculpture, collage and fibers. Do you love to image, design, and create your own ideas? You will get time to explore your own thoughts and ideas during these 3 hour daily sessions. New skills will be taught and introduced. Bring your sketchbook. This will be a week of creative mornings. You will get to explore all of the mediums or focus on one. Join Mr. Lenzmeier, CRE Art Teacher, for a week of creative fun. Two sessions are being offered.  All supplies are included in fee.

Wear play clothes and bring sketchbook.

Intro to Coding with Super Heroes @ Victoria Elementary

Create your own video game! Love video games? Students as young as 5 years old can create their platform video games in this cool class! Choose your storyline with popular super heroes as your stars; add challenges and levels of difficulty, then share by email or post on the web to challenge family and friends. Now the 5-8 year olds can practice math, logic, and programming and put their video game talents to work! Game will be in an animated flash format, viewable in most internet browsers. Bring a USB drive. Please bring a drink & snack.

Mad About the Master @ Chanhassen Elementary

Go mad for the masters in this fun-filled and educational camp! We will recreate famous works of art like Van Gogh’s Sunflowers, da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Degas’ ballerinas and many others all while using a variety of different art materials and techniques. We’ll even make a snow globe inspired by Van Gogh’s Starry Night! These magnificent works of art are sure to inspire your young artist!
Please pack a nut free snack and drink for your child.

Roblox Game Development @ Family Learning Center

In this advanced Roblox Game Design Camp, students will learn how to create and develop multiplayer games using the Roblox Studios Software.Kids will use an asset library to create a Capture the Flag game.By the end of this class, students will have a game ready to share with friends, and the skills and knowledge required to continue their exploration of game development at home. Please bringa peanut-free snack and beverage. Basic Windows and keyboarding skills required.

Survivor Island @ Jonathan Elementary
Jun 25 @ 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

Students will find themselves stranded on an abandoned island filled with perilous obstacles – dark caves, wild animals, cold temperatures, little food, and separation from the comforts of home. They will work collaboratively with their tribe members to compete against other tribes in specific engineering-related projects aimed at trying to survive the harsh island conditions and escape to their freedom. The tribe with the most points at the end of the week will claim the honor of being the winners of Survivor Island!

Digital Film Production: Special Effects @ Victoria Elementary
Jun 25 @ 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Learn film editing basics and how to use Hollywood-style special effects techniques.Possible special effects learned in class: animated laser, custom light sword, pulp sci-fi crawl, and hyperdrive effects. Groups’ final projects will be emailed to parents, or students may bring a USB jump drive the last day. Student photography release must be signed for class. Please bring a snack daily.

Jr. Minecraft Modder @ Family Learning Center
Jun 25 @ 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

It’s adventure time in Minecraft and time to learn to Mod Minecraft!Using Minecraft EDU, in this camp you’ll learn the ins and outs of creating a custom adventure map, programming teleporters and using WordEdit to instantly create massive structures.You’ll also explore awesome mods such as industrial craft and Parzi’s SW Mod to create automated factories, working vehicles and a jet pack!Learn to use custom tools to create your own unique skins. An immersive camp for both beginner and advanced Minecraft fans.
