Mat Pilates @ Family Learning Center

Pilates is all about your body’s “powerhouse”, your abdominals, low back muscles, pelvic floor, hips & glutes. Pilates exercises focus on building strength, balance, flexibility, and establishing a mind body connection. Exercises are low-impact and will be done on your back, stomach, seated or standing. The instructor will provide modifications and progressions for beginner, intermediate and advanced students. Join us for a great workout that will leave you feeling long, lean and toned. Drop in rate is $8.00

Ukulele Class @ Pioneer Ridge Middle School

Excited to learn a new instrument? Try the ukulele! This course is open to all CME, CMW, and PRM middle school students. No experience required and all are welcome, even if you already play! We will learn chords, strumming, and lots of songs. Bring your favorite request! Community Ed has 10 ukuleles available for student use.

Beginning Sewing: Mini Projects @ District Education Center
Feb 24 @ 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Learn the basics of machine sewing including how to thread the machine, machine settings, basic terminology and so much more! Create 3 projects (one each week) including reusable makeup remover pads, a bedroom-style pillow case, and a zippered cosmetic bag! You are encouraged to bring your own sewing machine, but we will have machines available for use as well. Please watch your course confirmation and course reminder for the materials list.

Working with Acrylics and Water Mediums @ Sara Hanlons Home Studio
Feb 24 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

All levels of experience including beginners are welcome. This course offers the opportunity to explore the acrylic medium. Choices are paint on canvas, watercolor, watercolor mixed with other compatible mediums and collage. Work with subjects you choose, at your own pace and painting style. Instructor brings idea file to work from or bring your own. Repeating this course will continue to hone skills. A materials list will be emailed before the start of class. Sara has extensive teaching experience, holds a BFA through MCAD.

Welcome Board Painting @ Family Learning Center

Dance to great music, great people and burn a ton of calories without even realizing it. The instructor encourages letting loose and smiling and being yourself. She loves dancing and moving and won’t stop until she teaches you how to move to the music and feel free, she will lead you there.

Body Sculpting & Conditioning @ Chaska High School

Get a complete body workout in 45 minutes! Work your whole body with a variety of exercises and equipment! Many formats will be used to always challenge your body and never get bored! This workout will include strength, cardio, and flexibility! All equipment is provided including mats (unless you choose to bring your own). All levels welcome! What are you waiting for? Being the “best version of you” starts here!

NASP Archery @ Chaska MS West
Feb 25 @ 3:45 pm – 5:15 pm

No matter what your current skill level is, we will coach you to a competition level shooter. You will learn all archery skills and techniques for safe and competitive competition. A t-shirt is provided with the class fee. Tournament schedule will be available later this winter. Equipment for the class is supplied by the instructors. 9-12th Grade students will have the opportunity to letter.
