Chaska Girls Youth Lacrosse Clinics @ Eastern Carver County Athletic Center
Feb 2 @ 8:00 am – 9:00 am

The Chaska High School Girls Lacrosse Coaching Staff are offering 3 developmental camps on Saturday, February 2nd for Chaska Girls Lacrosse Players.

Session A: K-3rd Grade: 8am-9am ($35) – Beginners & Experienced players) Little Hawks Lacrosse Camp – Learn new skills and fun games to promote competition and excitement towards lacrosse.

Session B: Girls Goalie Session: 9am-10am ($35) All Grades/ All skill levels (Must Bring your own goalie equipment & goalie stick) – Small group goalie session with coaches to work on goalie technique and a variety of fun hand/eye coordination drills and skills to become a better goalie. (*Goalies that played on the JV/Varsity 2018 high school teams cannot sign up due to MSHSL policies and off-season regulations).

*Goalies – If you’re in 4-10th Grade you can sign up for the Goalie session (Session B) for free if attending the 4-10th Grade session following the Goalie session.

Session C: 4th-10th Grade: 9-12pm ($65) (Beginners & Experienced Players – Players will be split up by age and ability). This camp is designed to prepare players for what to expect from the Chaska HS lacrosse program. Players will learn passing and catching techniques, team attack and team defensive strategies that are required for playing with the high school program. There will be fun competitive games and players will receive individual lacrosse instruction. (*Players that played on the JV/Varsity 2018 high school teams cannot sign up due to MSHSL policies and off-season regulations).

Each player will receive a t-shirt.

Child and Babysitting Safety @ Chanhassen High School
Mar 9 @ 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

Participants will learn the responsibilities of being a prepared, safe, responsible and professional babysitter.  Topics include child development, behavior guidance, supervision, proper feeding and diapering techniques, personal safety, medical emergencies, basic first aid care and fire safety.  Dolls, bottles, diaper supplies will be provided at class for hands-on participation.  The course is developed by the American Safety and Health Institute and approved by the American Pediatrics Association.  Class participants receive a booklet and certification card.  Participants should bring a peanut free snack and beverage to class.

The emphasis is to develop an enthusiasm for tennis!  The students in this class range from beginner, to those that have taken previous classes, to those that have been in the middle school program.  The focus will be on serving and being able to rally with proper grips and techniques.  Increasing the student’s athleticism, agility, balance, and fine motor skills will also be a key focal point.  Please bring your appropriate sized tennis racket and a water bottle.  If necessary the rainout makeup dates will be on May 18 and June 1.
