Intramural Basketball @ Chanhassen Elementary

4th & 5th grades

This is a local, intramural basketball program for 4th and 5th graders. No traveling. All games are played in house. Players will learn intermediate basketball skills, basic basketball playing concepts (i.e. give and go, pick and roll, man-to-man, zone) and play 3-on-3 or 4-on-4 half court games, as well as 5-on-5 full court (no cherry picking) games. Teams are intermingled each practice, so each player will get opportunities to play with multiple teammates. Sign up today to get in the game and get your pulse-pounding!

Kung Fu MS East @ Chaska Middle School East

Ages 5+

Learn the lifelong benefits of Kung Fu, the Chinese art of self-defense and fitness, from a Hong Kong champion. Not just a punching, kicking, self-defense class, Kung Fu teaches awareness of self and surroundings and improves self-esteem and confidence. Join a FUN, progressive, full participation class that focuses on helping students develop leadership, discipline, concentration and coordination skills for a healthy mind and body. Improve your coordination, strength, flexibility and endurance. Parents: don’t sit at the sideline. Sign up and participate with your child in class. This is a skill building progressive training program for beginners through Black Belt. Optional uniform and certification from White to Black Belt are available.

New and returning students invited. Our winter session focuses on advanced beginner and intermediate concepts while the spring session focuses on intermediate and advanced concepts and features an end-of-year in class tournament.

How-to’s of Drawing CRE @ Clover Ridge Elementary

Does your young artist love to draw? This introductory drawing class teaches kids the basic techniques and principles of drawing. We’ll encourage creativity and imagination while experimenting with a variety of drawing materials and techniques. The kids will even receive their own sketchbook that they will get to keep and draw in throughout the session! In Kidcreate’s fun and supportive environment, your young artist will be eager to get drawing!

Fundamentals and fun are in store. Emphasis is placed on basic skills development of dribbling, shooting, passing, sportsmanship and teamwork. We then use engaging and dynamic games to cement students’ growth including our unique three-on-three style game. This is a high-octane class with an inclusive atmosphere. But hurry, the shot-clock is running down!

21st Century Robotics Enrichment using LEGO® bricks. Each {YEL!} Junior Robotics class follows four basic components
•Teach It!…Each class students are taught the basic STEM engineering concepts behind each project.

•Build & Program It!…Students use LEGO® bricks to build a soccer goalie, boat, airplane and more.

•Program It!…Then they program the project to block shots, weather a fierce storm, spin it’s propeller and more using drag-and-drop icon-based software.

Conquer Ninja Rec Team @ Conquer Ninja Gym

Sign up today to see how Ninja is easily one of the fastest growing sports today! Not only is it the fastest growing sport, but it is the fastest growing cross-training sport as well. Our Conquer Rec Team is designed for youth, ages 6-13 of all experience levels. Our Rec Team will practice on real obstacles inspired by TV shows such as warped walls, salmon ladders, tilting ladders and so much more during their weekly practice. Rec Team members will learn the styles and techniques to develop their Ninja Skills with over 40 different obstacles! This 8 week long Rec Team consists of 6 practices and 2 competitions. (week 4 and week 8)
