Open to students who have just completed grades 9-12
This is an opportunity for high school students to be in a band, choose and play covers of great rock hits from the past and present and even create original music.We are looking for singers, guitarists, keyboardists, bass players, drummers and any other instrument that can be construed as a rock instrument.Performance in late July on a date and venue TBA and at River City Days on Saturday, July 28 between 4-6 p.m.

Have fun and learn with Mad Science as you explore the fields of chemistry, Egyptology and engineering. Help build a giant geodesic dome, build a model pyramid, and write with hieroglyphs. Make your own chromatography T-shirt and mix different ingredients to create sidewalk chalk, bath fizzers, and edible treats.
Get your sports fix during this week long sports camp! Players will learn the basic fundamentals of a variety of sports, including: T-Ball, track & field, golf, soccer, football, and fun, fast-paced games/activities. They will also have a blast tie-dying t-shirts the first day! Campers should bring a water bottle and snack.
Learn how to code through playing games and having fun! We’ll learn the fundamentals of loops, if statements, and variables as we learn the blockly and python computer languages! Please come knowing how to navigate the internet (basic typing and mouse control) and a passion to work hard and have fun!
Using the latest WeDo® 2.0 system that LEGO® has to offer, ignite the STEM spark in your child with this amazing camp. We are passionate about Science, Technology, Engineering & Math and want to instill this in your child too.Fostering their natural curiosity, kids — working in pairs — will explore logic, pattern recognition and math concepts as they get challenged in building increasingly sophisticated designs and develop basic programming techniques using custom-made programming blocks in PCs.They will have hands-on experience effectively using gears, axles and connector blocks in the robotic challenges.

Come join us on the water with one of the fastest growing water sports, Stand-Up Paddleboarding! Our trained instructors get your young paddler onto a board, teach proper paddleboarding techniques, and even play a few paddleboard-based games! All necessary paddling equipment will be provided. Participants should come prepared to get wet; secure sandals or water shoes are highly recommended. This activity is a partnership between Carver County Parks Department and Eastern Carver County Schools Community Education.
