Python Coding @ Victoria Elementary
Jun 27 @ 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

This class has been moved from Bluff Creek Elementary School to Victoria Elementary School.

Get a great head start in learning how to code using one of the key programming languages used by professional developers – Python.  Its syntax allows programmers to express concepts in fewer lines of code than would be possible in languages such as C++ or Java, making it a perfect coding language for beginners.  Python is a text based language; students should have familiarity with keyboarding and basic computer skills.  Please bring a drink & peanut free snack daily.

Science Kaleidoscope @ Chanhassen Elementary
Jun 27 @ 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

Have fun and learn with Mad Science as you explore the fields of chemistry, Egyptology and engineering.  Help build a giant geodesic dome, build a model pyramid, and write with hieroglyphs.  Make your own chromatography T-shirt and mix different ingredients to create sidewalk chalk, bath fizzers, and edible treats.

Painting with Acrylics @ Family Learning Center
Jun 27 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Ages 9 – 15 years
This course is about learning basics of composition and color applications with painting. We will also add dimension to a painting in the manner of collage. This means adhering dimensional materials to the painting and then painting them to work with the underlying painting. Participants will have the option of doing a painting only or to enhance their painting with dimension. The instructor will bring appropriate dimensional materials for participants to use if they choose. A materials list will be emailed to students prior to the start of class that students will be responsible for picking up.

Please contact the instructor with any questions at 952-556-8726 or theartofsaraleehanlon@gmail.com.
