Sparkle Love! with Kidcreate Studio @ Jonathan Elementary

Kids LOVE sparkles. They just can’t get enough of them! In this class, the kids will go sparkle crazy! They’ll create multiple projects all covered with sparkles galore! They’ll “tie dye,” play with clay, create sun catchers and more as they work with different types of clay, paint and other spectacularly, sparkly art supplies.

Fantastic Forces @ Clover Ridge Elementary

Come along on a Mad Science tour de force! Feel angular momentum move you, and investigate inertia in action. Observe how the forces of flight affect airplane performance and use air pressure to levitate ping pong balls! Learn about structural engineering when you build a bridge, and electrical engineering as you build circuits. Discover the link between sound and vibration, the forces required to shape a gemstone, and how to use density to clean up an oil spill. H.I.I.T. Circuit Training @ Chaska High School

Make the most of your workout with this High Intensity Interval Training! Get a head to toe workout in 30 minutes! Siting all day in a desk can be hard on our bodies and we all know activity is an important part of a healthy lifestyle – all of us included! Circuit training is a quick, fun way to incorporate activity for a head to toe workout. Be an advocate for your health and join this fun, active class! All equipment provided and all levels welcome!

Body Sculpting and Conditioning @ Chaska High School

Come join the fun! Meet new people and get in shape! This class is for all levels. Tone your whole body and improve your muscular strength through many different sculpting and conditioning exercises head to toe. We will be using a variety of different exercise equipment, such as, hand weights, stability balls, kettle bells, medicine balls, resistance bands and more (all provided). This class is a great addition to any cardiovascular workout!

Little Tikes Tennis Blue @ Clover Ridge Elementary. Gym
Jan 16 @ 5:30 pm – 6:15 pm

Ages 4-5.  The main emphasis of this class is to build basic tennis skills and have fun! With the use of age appropriate equipment and up-beat, well trained instructors will start to build your child’s basic athletic skills and how to properly handle the racquet. In addition to further developing the child’s fine motor skills like hand-eye coordination, we will emphasize balance and agility. This class will be the foundation for this life-long sport! Please bring your tennis racquet and a water bottle.

Beginning & Intermediate Pottery @ Chaska High School

Have you ever wanted to learn how to make your own pottery or clay projects? Learn how to throw on the wheel in this laid back studio atmosphere. Beginners will be introduced to the potters wheel and start by creating bowls, cups and other basic forms. Intermediate learners will expand their skills and techniques with more advanced forms and demonstrations. Every student will leave with finished projects that are functional, food safe and an original work of art. $17 materials fee for the 1st bag of clay. Students buy more if needed.

YEL 4! Fencing @ Chaska High School

Fencing is one of the fastest growing sports in the USA and Youth Enrichment League (YEL) fencing continues to evolve to match that pace. Olympic Coach Ro Sobalvarro heads up YEL’s curriculum, ongoing instructor training and tournament consultation. Coach Sobalvarro brings with him an immense knowledge of youth, national and international fencing. Fall is a great time for beginning and returning students. New students get introduced to a pulse-pounding sport while returning students continue their study through Coach Sobalvarro’s progressive curriculum. Safety is our first priority. Tap Dance 1 @ Chanhassen High School

Bring your tap shoes and join us for a fun night of tap dancing. Exercise your body and mind while learning a variety of tap dance steps and a choreographed tap routine. This class is perfect for beginners and those with a little experience.

Little Tikes Tennis: Gold Ages 6-7 @ Clover Ridge Elementary

Ages 6-7.  The main emphasis of this class is to continue to build basic tennis skills and have fun! With the use of age appropriate equipment and up-beat, well trained instructors we will continue to build your child’s basic athletic skills and further develop their strokes from the Little Tikes Blue class. Focus will also be placed on the A, B, C’s of tennis: Agility, Balance and Coordination. This class will be the foundation for this life-long sport! Please bring your tennis racquet and a water bottle.

Ages 8-10 – With the use of age appropriate equipment we will continue to build your child’s athletic skills and emphasize agility, balance and coordination. The emphasis of this class will be on consistency as the child will learn to rally with other members of the class utilizing proper stroke technique. Their love of the game will continue to grow as their rally skills further develop!  In addition to rallying, we will focus on developing the serve.  Please bring your tennis racquet and a water bottle.
