Requesting a Private District Tutor

Many of our District teachers offer private tutoring for our families.  Parents may use the attached lists to review and request tutoring options within our school district.  Please use the contact information included to contact tutors you are interested in working with.  Scheduling, payment and room reservation (if using a District space) will be managed directly with the tutor you select.  All tutors on this list are currently employed licensed teacher within our school District.  They have passed all District-required background checks. Community Education is only providing this list as a resource to families and cannot guarantee the quality of any listed tutor beyond confirmation of their current teaching license and passed District background check.

PLATO Individualized Online Tutoring

Online learning is available through Community Education in a wide variety of specific subject areas.  PLATO Titles enable students to review and practice content from relevant course work at their own speed and using a variety of learning approaches.  PLATO Titles is an excellent option for students who are self-motivated but could use some additional practice in a specific subject area.

Accucess testing is also available in Language Arts, Math and Reading Comprehension.  Accucess will evaluate a student’s areas for growth and create a custom course to help student’s bridge gaps in understanding of course content.  ACT Prep courses are also available through PLATO.  All PLATO courses can be done at any computer with internet access.

12 weeks of online access to 1 course/title – $38
