Ages 2.5-3 years by 9/1/25

For young children eager to explore the preschool experience, we offer Taste of Preschool—a program designed to nurture social skills, foster independence, and inspire discovery through creative play. Children will make new friends, explore fresh ideas, and gain confidence in a supportive environment.

Choose child-only or a Parent Ed option with parents attending on Tuesdays.

Ages 3.5-5 years by 9/1/25

Experience the magic of nature in our StormHawks Nature Preschool-- place where learning and growth happen amidst the beauty of nature. Our program is designed for curious young minds who thrive in discovery-based, hands-on learning environments and enjoy spending extended time outdoors.
Children will develop personalized academic skills across multiple areas, including social-emotional, cognitive, physical, and creative growth, with a strong emphasis on pre-math and pre-literacy development. The natural world serves as our ultimate classroom, inspiring exploration and fostering a lifelong love of learning.
To fully participate, children must have prerequisite skills including full toilet training and the ability to remain attentive and stay with the group. Families receive a recommended list to ensure proper outdoor gear. The class includes learning days at Camp Fire Minnesota, with ongoing collaboration between their naturalist staff and our preschool staff. 

Nature Preschool FAQs

Age 3 years by 9/1/25

StormHawks Preschool is committed to meeting the needs of every learner. The curriculum has a strong emphasis on social-emotional, cognitive, physical, and creative development while introducing pre-math and pre-literacy skills. Both on and off-site field trips are a part of our classroom experiences. Parents are welcome and encouraged to visit on field trips and participate in special preschool events.

StormHawks Preschool at the Family Learning Center offers optional wrap-around care participation. Those interested will pick your days for care (2-5 per week) after enrolling in preschool. Our Care team will follow up with you in February to provide additional registration details. Care registration and schedule selection will officially open on April 8th, alongside school-age Care programming.

Ages 4 years by 9/1/25 and 5 years not yet in kindergarten

StormHawks Preschool is dedicated to supporting the unique needs of every child. Our curriculum emphasizes social-emotional, cognitive, physical, and creative development, with a strong focus on pre-math and pre-literacy skills.
For older preschoolers, instructional time in pre-math and pre-literacy is intentionally increased to ensure readiness for Kindergarten. Our curriculum is aligned with Eastern Carver County Schools’ K-12 framework, building a solid foundation for future academic success.
Classroom experiences are enriched with both on-site and off-site field trips, creating opportunities for hands-on learning and exploration. Parents are encouraged to join us for these field trips and participate in special preschool events, fostering a sense of community and collaboration.
