Congratulations to CMSW music teacher Eric Songer for being a Music Teacher of Excellence as recognized by the Country Music Association. Ten teachers from the Nashville area, 10 teachers from Tennessee and 10 teachers throughout the country will be recognized Sept. 19 in Nashville. 

Mr. Songer advances the love of music in his students by offering after school and summer courses. This summer, options include: Movie Band, Music Technology,  Jazz Ensemble, Marching Band, Beginning Guitar, Middle School Garage Band, and High School Garage Band.  Options including Pop Ensemble, Country/Bluegrass, Mariachi Band, and more are offered during the school year.
