Meet Our Author: Cristina Oxtra 📚✨
Cristina Oxtra is an award-winning author who writes picture books, chapter books, middle grade stories, and graphic novels. Her picture book What Lolo Wants is a 2025 Minnesota Book Awards finalist and a Society of Midland Authors Awards honoree. She holds an MFA in creative writing for children and young adults and a BA in journalism, and has earned honors from the McKnight Artist & Culture Bearer Fellowship and the Loft Literary Center, where she also teaches. A former journalist, educator, Air Force veteran, and PR professional, Cristina is also a food TV fan, a 3rd-degree black belt in Taekwondo, and loves spooky things, theatre, comic cons, and drawing.
